Terms of use
These terms apply when you use the SpaceMoon app and SpaceMoon Pro. By installing or using SpaceMoon, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. "We" means APP FACTORY CO., LTD, a company registered in Vietnam.
No recovery: please read this
SpaceMoon encrypts your files on your phone with keys that only your pattern, your recovery phrase or your fingerprint can unlock. We never have these keys.
- If you lose both your pattern and your recovery phrase, nobody can recover your files. That includes us. We cannot reset your pattern, and there is no back door.
- If you uninstall SpaceMoon, clear its data, reset your phone, or lose your phone, everything in it is deleted for good, unless you have a backup file and its pattern or recovery phrase.
- Android's own backup and phone transfer do not include SpaceMoon's data.
- When you move photos and videos into SpaceMoon, the originals are removed from your gallery.
Keeping your recovery phrase and backups safe is your responsibility.
1. License
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use SpaceMoon on Android devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, under these terms and the Google Play terms. We keep all rights in the app, its design and its name. You may not sell, rent or redistribute the app, or remove its notices. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under open-source licenses for parts of the app, or under the law.
2. Your content and use
You are responsible for the content you store in SpaceMoon and for using the app lawfully. We cannot see your content. Do not use SpaceMoon to store or hide illegal content or to break the law.
3. Free version and SpaceMoon Pro
- The free version lets you store up to 50 photos and 5 videos in 1 vault. Pro removes these limits and allows more than one vault.
- Pro is sold through Google Play as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Google Play shows the price for your country before you buy. Prices may vary by country and may change.
- Payments are made through your Google Play account and follow the Google Play terms.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
- If you cancel during the free trial, you are not charged. If you do not cancel, the yearly price is charged when the trial ends.
- Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policies and the law that applies to you.
- "Lifetime" means for as long as we offer SpaceMoon Pro on Google Play, for the Google account that bought it.
- Pro is checked on your phone. Purchases are confirmed through Google Play and RevenueCat, as described in our privacy policy.
4. Changes to the app
We may update, change or stop parts of the app. Updates may be needed to keep using it. We will not add accounts, ads or data collection to the app without clearly telling you first.
5. No warranty
SpaceMoon is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the app will be free of errors, that it will work without interruption, that it will be fit for a particular purpose, or that it will protect your data against every attack. The security page explains known limits. Keep your own backups.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss of data, files or content, including loss caused by a lost pattern or recovery phrase, by uninstalling the app, or by a lost or damaged phone. We are also not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or loss of profits.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about SpaceMoon is limited to the amount you paid us for SpaceMoon Pro in the 12 months before the claim.
Some countries do not allow these limits. Where they are not allowed, they apply only as far as the law permits. Nothing in these terms affects rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
7. Ending these terms
You can stop using SpaceMoon at any time by uninstalling it. Remember that this deletes your files unless you have a backup. If you break these terms, your license ends.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, unless the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is important, we will tell you in the app. If you keep using SpaceMoon after a change, you accept the new terms.
